The actor Ruy de Carvalho, 88, suffered Saturday a fall and was assisted at the Hospital of Portalegre, where he diagnosed a brain injury trauma and was then transported by helicopter to the Santa Maria in Lisbon.
According to medical Beatriz Mourato, of Portalegre Hospital and watched the actor, Ruy de Carvalho was admitted in this health unit at 15h49, after suffering a fall at the Arts Centre and Portalegre Shows, where he would attend this Saturday the show Trovas and Songs, Actors, Poets, Singers with Paula de Carvalho, and nephew, João Henrique Carvalho.
Following the fall, Ruy de Carvalho, entered the hospital “conscious and oriented, but with some repetitive speech” was observed and undergo a Computed Axial Tomography (CAT), which revealed some changes, “but anything relevant.”
Still, and following the “hospital protocol”, the actor was transported by helicopter to the Hospital of Santa Maria in Lisbon, which is the health unit of Ruy de Carvalho reference, which already lies receive care.
