The night of October 25 could not have gone better Justin Bieber, who was crowned the winner of the MTV Europe Music Awards 2015. The Canadian singer won five awards, including one for Best Male Artist.
In addition to better artist, Justin Bieber was voted Best Global Artist for American fans, Best Visual, Best Fans and Best Collaboration, due to the single “Where Are U Now?”, with Skrillex and Diplo.
This was a memorable evening for the singer, who was able to return to the European stage. Justin Bieber appeared at the event in Milan, singing the latest hit “What Do You Mean?”.
Another of the big winners of the evening was Ed Sheeran, that the title of hosting the EMA, alongside actress Ruby Rose, joined the awards for Best Live Performance and Best World Performance.
Having won five awards at the Teen Choice Awards, Taylor Swift has again been awarded by fans, with the award for Best Song with “Bad Blood”. Rihanna was crowned as Best Female Artist and Nicki Minaj took home the awards for Best Pop Artist and Best Hip Hop Artist.
But the highlights of the night were reserved for live performances. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, who won the award for Best Music Video, opened the ceremony with the single “Downtown”.
One of the most memorable moments was the performance of the Italian Andrea Bocelli, who sang “Time To Say Goodbye” solo before joining Tori Kelly for a cover of “Just Give Me a Reason” Pink and Nate Ruess.
James Bay also stepped on stage after receiving the award for Best New Act.
Pharrell Williams, Jess Glynne and Ellie Goulding were some of the artists who could also act at the EMAs.
