The last time we saw George Michael to sing – Diário de Notícias – Lisbon

The musician played their last concert in October 2012, in London. But for the rest of the world, the last performance was the same in the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.

Rolling Stone magazine ensures that the last concert of George Michael came on 17 October 2012, in Earls Court, in London. Was the closure of the “Symphonica Tour”, a tour in which the musician played mainly in covers of the “classics” of pop as a Roxanne, Police, and True Faith, New Order, or the standard jazz My Baby Just Cares for Me, the couple of themes from the album Songs from the Last Century (1999) and Patience (2002).

A fan filmed it with his mobile phone the final part of the encore of this last night. In this video more than 15 minutes, and dubious quality, George Michael interprets a medley with Freedom 90, Amazing I’m Your Man, and then ends the concert with I Remember You, a version of the song from 1941 by Victor Schertzinger and Johnny Mercer:

The tour, in fact, should have continued in Australia in November, but that trip never came to pass.

Who has not attended any of the concerts from that tour you can always remember the intervention of George Michael in the closing ceremony of the London Olympic Games, in August 2012, in which the musician played Freedom, put the entire stadium to sing (that is, about 80 thousand people), and then took the opportunity to present the new single, White Light, so it was quite criticized.

For a large part of the fans all over the world, this will have been the last time that they saw the act:
