The uniqueness of the light of Lisbon is the subject of an exhibition that opens today at the Museum of Lisbon. – Turret West, the Palace Square, where it will be open until December 20 this year
exalted by poets and writers, painters, photographers and filmmakers, Portuguese and foreign, in several of its artistic works, the natural light of Lisbon, considered immaterial icon of the city, will be celebrated in this exhibition, conceived by the Museum of Lisbon.
The exhibition, titled just “The Light of Lisbon” addresses not only scientific questions about the properties of this light, how does one route on the presence and influence of light Lisbon demonstrations of art and visual culture, XX and XXI centuries.
The goal is to present an exhibition on the world-recognized phenomenon of natural light Lisbon, considered unique and special, questioning the scientific level, its specificity and helping to understand their singularities objective and subjective.
According to the producer Terra Splendid, the exhibition “The Light of Lisbon” is organized by the Municipality of Lisbon and the EGEAC, municipal enterprise of the city responsible for equipment and Entertainment Management cultural.
