Mark Knopfler won the audience with old themes – Daily News – Lisbon

It was the sound of Broken Bones , one of the themes of the new album Tracker soil, released in March this year, the guitar master, began a concert long exhausted. Although recurrent visit to Portugal twice with Dire Straits and six solo, Mark Knopfler, 66, winner of four Grammys continues to play around here a wide fan base as once again it was found late on Tuesday, before an audience made up of several generations.

Smiling and very communicative, playing several times with the strong wind that felt, was a very different Mark Knopfler that the times of the Dire Straits what is presented in the EDP Cool Jazz, with a much closer sounding best tradition of British folk, made violins, mandolins and bagpipes, mixed with his unmistakable guitar solos.
