Palma and Godinho in SBSR: Gentlemen, living room and large concert – Swab

Gentlemen large, a large room, a festival that continues to surprise on the upside, it could only result a concert at large. The quality of Jorge Palma and Sérgio Godinho is undeniable and longevity both in the music world is the certificate that proves that. On a night when many will come after the concert that closes this evening on the main stage (MEO Arena), the Blur, many also were those who applauded and sought to feel the power that the word get when put into the mouth of these two Portuguese musicians. The sound quality is not the best, just like the EDP stage, although these artists and the fact that no song on is unknown, help a little to improve the balance.

‘The Conquerors’ of Sérgio Godinho was one of the early themes of the show for which he was always coming more and more people; who came not budge and it was like that all the time held the concert. In return of the Super Bock Super Rock to the city there is something very positive to add to what, almost as a rule, the festivals offer. Here, particularly in concert Palma / Godinho, to ask us permission to cross the line where we are sitting in the course of musical session. This was followed by ‘The Elixir of Eternal Youth’ drunk a sip, that made us jump straight to ‘Fragile’, Jorge Palma, and also the constant ‘Give me Lume’. The two singers always sang a duet issues either a want of another, providing an evening full of good songs that will never go out of fashion. It was an authentic fartote.

‘Lady of Solitude’ is a song that Jorge Palma sang already in duet with Miguel Guedes, of Blind Zero in a moment of rare artistic sensibility of both and who returned to bring into sharper focus now that Sérgio Godinho, interventional, takes this moment to remind the concert “the importance of always seeing the story by the two sides.” The introduction is made to ‘The Blocked Access’. With ‘Let me laugh’ we were happy to see Jorge Palma to show their teeth. It is time to get tired the ironic and mocking remarks about Jorge Palma. The musician is well again on stage to play with a unique skill the piano keys with that “Toys” beautifully, and with impeccable service. It is an exaggeration to untie hesitation to hear sniggers.

The musical wave was cradling a concert that did not have any breaks or dead times. This is perhaps one of the great strengths of integrated performances at festivals: as time is short, we must give it everything and touch what is guaranteed to the liking of those who are there. Palma and Godinho were so. Although this is a show that shines in small rooms, this was no reason not to bring the (thankfully) renewed SBSR. ‘Only’, ‘Land of Dreams’ and’ Portugal Portugal ‘, Jorge Palma, join’ The First Day “Sérgio Godinho when the duo announces the final theme of the evening: ‘The People Will Continue’. Alas, vain, so vain … Not composes a MEO Arena this does not happen again …

First Run me Antena 3 host to an artist who, in contrast, is now giving the initial steps of a career that can only be long. Although Portugal did not have great tradition in funk, more and more groups and singers are emerging in this musical context and The Chick is a great representative of the genre that it is as natural as waking up and give a cute “good days “to everyone with whom to cross.

curly hair, skin and bronzeadinha real smile, all dressed in jeans and tennis, Da Chick brings the old school funk, soul and the eternal groove jumps to the rhythmic swing disk. Their first studio album, “Chick to Chick” here now widely shown, is a journey into the world of soul music, which abound scrambled and lively rhythms of funk, disco or hip-hop. ‘From Tha Clap’, the album’s debut single, was soon the first and it is regrettable that it was not only heard when not only the entire space of Antena 3 stage was already completely full, as on the steps of MEO Arena has many fans clapped and wagging her hips to the rhythm of this Portuguese youth. ‘Lotta Love’ was also the first, and ‘Do not Touch My Soul’.

When we see how Da Chick moves on stage, we feel that we have a diva accustomed to be applauded by crowds singing and knowing that will enthrall. Teresa de Sousa Freitas, his real name, plays with the microphone, interacts with their “brothers” on stage, causes the public, leaving no one lose heart, and even longer makes poses for photographers as she sings. The highlight of the concert came when Da Chick if some suddenly to the right we see perched on stand of one of the event partners offering high jump to an inflatable giant. And then she goes, always microphone in hand, to throw in a jump of 8 meters on full show. “My ass hurts. How do I get out of here? “She jokes at the end of achievement. ‘Funky Call’, has confessed, it is one of his favorite songs on the album, which clearly noted here. The concert, or should I say, a colorful and fun party this alfacinha with black soul, finished with poppy funky ‘cocktail’. Note also high for its musicians and the dancer Chocolate Brown. “I was able to marry you, bro ‘, tells you she surrendered to the elastic man of talents of the boy.
