Portuguese film wins Short Vila do Conde – Daily News – Lisbon

Mined Soil , Filipa César crosses the history of the fighter and agronomist Guinean Amílcar Cabral and his research on erosion in Portugal to contemporary documentation of mining by a Canadian company in the same region Cabral times studied. A cross that earned him the Grand Prix of Vila do Conde Short Film Festival that ends today.

Still in international competition, the Prize Fiction was awarded to Beech Week by David Raboy . Bear , Pascal Florks won the Documentary Prize while Mynarski Chute Mortelle of Matthew Rankin, was awarded the Prize Animation. Kung Fury, the Swedish David Sandberg, won the prize of the public.

In the national competition, the Best Film Prize was awarded to Sea Maria , John Rosas, and Margarida Lucas was honored with the award for Best Director, with Restaurant . The audience award went to Amelia & amp; Duarte , Alice Eca Guimarães and Monica Santos, who also won the Prix Canal +.
