The night promised to be epic, if only by, that alone makes them unique concerts. The 20-year Moonspell career so announced.
After 15 concerts of the tour Exctint , the 16th, at home, and with the album in the top of domestic sales had everything to be memorable.
Outside the Colosseum minutes were numbered among reunions, laughter and conversation.
The opening of the doors, a pontualíssima form, as indeed press professionalism of promoter Everthing is New , gave up the 20 hours, peaceful but anxiously.
I confess that when I went and watched the room, I felt afraid that she did not compose, unfounded fears, since it is not exhausted, almost. The Colosseum was proudly full of fans and followers of what could be considered one of the best bands of metal of Portugal.
The concert began with the special guests and last minute, Bizarra the locomotive, which for about half an hour made us vibrate and yearn for the most anticipated of the night
The band Rui Sidónio played songs from his latest album, such as “Fever of Icarus”, “Mortuary”, which featured the lead singer of entry to to the public, this input that would repeat two more times during their performance, as an exception in the repertoire for the beloved “Angel Exile”, which shares the stage with Fernando Ribeiro a great demonstration of complicity between musicians, this complicity that would come to repeat later.
The performance ends with the theme “Beetle” from the album “Bestiary” with the public in full apotheosis with the band. The feeling was, already after the famous selfie , was a desire to “want more”.
We continued then the band responsible for the 1st part of the evening concert, the Septicflesh the Greek band of Symphonic Death Metal .
I confess that not knew who was curious to hear the sound. It has very interesting variations between the sound heavier and hard and the rifs Guitar quite harmonious.
They kept constant communication with the public as they went and acting in the range of each song .
They heard songs like “Dracula” from the new album “Titan” and here noted to be quite sound changes that speak up, “The Great Mass of Death”, “Prototype” “Anubis” song dedicated to both Moonspell as the audience at the Coliseum, ending the performance with “Prometheus”.
Their performance must say that I noticed two parts, those who were thrilled with the issues and that kept in unison with the band and those who in the course of action were losing interest … In the aftermath I can say that there was a decrease energy and a feeling of not quite knowing what it felt like in the course of Septicflesh show, at least in galleries where I was.
The long awaited evening concert began at 23.05, and pontualíssimo expected, with the entry of Moonspell members and for about 2 hours adrenaline was a constant.
The opening took place with “Breath” and “Extinct”, the new album themes, national sales top. Continuing with “Nigth Eternal”.
And although 20-year career was unable to compile a night, the journey along the memories of “Moonspell” were apotheosis as in “Opium”, “Vampiria” “Ataegina” and the beloved “Alma Mater”
Night Surprises:. the entry of the Italian singer Tristania, Mariangela Demurtas in “Ravew Claws” and repeated complicity and delivery Rui Sidónio in “In the name of fear.”
The night was already long but the will to finish was nil at the Encore was immediate this time with “Wolfshade” and “Mephisto “ending the night in full and healthy madness with” Full Moon Madness “with Fernando divided the battery with Mike.
We can only thank the delivery of these that 20 years ago when they could only rely on fans , did not give to invent and reinvent and at every concert make us proud to hear them and share with them the same nation.
Our special thanks also to the Everthing is New that always welcomes us so well
It is an even longer with desires that are soon to meet again
