Eric Clapton collaborates on new Rolling Stones album, says Keith Richards – Digital Journal

The Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards announced that Eric Clapton collaborated on the next album, yet unnamed and inspired by ‘blues’, the British band plans to release in the fall.

In an interview with radio station BBC 6 Music, Keith Richards said playing with Eric Clapton “was like the old days in Richmond,” a reference to the period when The Yardbirds, ancient group of Clapton, played in Crawdaddy Club of Richmond, southwest London, where it interbred with the Stones.

Clapton “been in the studio for a few sessions,” added Richards, who revealed that the recordings include classic themes of Little Walter and Howlin ‘Wolf .
