Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith triumph in British music awards – LUSA

Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith musicians won both two Brit Awards, the British music awards, on Wednesday evening in London, in a ceremony marked by a showy fall of Madonna on stage.

Ed Sheeran, who played last year in Lisbon, won the award for “Best Male Artist” and “Best Album” with “X” while Sam Smith won in the category of “Best New Artist” and “overall success” with “In the hour lonely”, the debut album this month it had paid already four Grammy.

The American singer Madonna, who attended the ceremony to debut live the new theme, “Living for love”, staged a showy fall because of a robe that was worn, but the incident did not stop to finish the work.

The Royal Blood, who work in April Lisbon, won the Brit Award for best British group and Paloma Faith received the award for best British female artist.

At the international level, Taylor Swift won the award for best female artist, Pharrell Williams had the best male artist and the Foo Fighters best band.
