Yuck entered the secondary stage to show their indie rock homesick 90s and festival-goers responded with loud applause to their songs. The space not filled, thanks largely dinner time, but still felt much love for the American rock band riffs. Less successful, the songs of his latest album, already without the founder Daniel Blumberg, are not as celebrated, in the face of his most intimate and experimental sound. Still, good concert.
There was onstage Vodafone Conor Oberst who, with their blend of pop, folk and rock, ripped enough applause to the crowd. This was increasing as the concert progressed, ending with the amphitheater almost full. No dazzle, was growing in confidence and the enthusiasm of the audience responded. The Perfect Pussy unloaded energy and anger to a secondary stage which was never filled, but gave himself completely to the hardcore New Yorkers. The vocalist screams more than sings, lyrics of violence and simultaneous poetry, transformed into sound barrages of high caliber. The audience responded in the best way, and were soon seen legs over the heads of assistance. Unfortunately, the sound was not in the best position to properly appraise the performance of the Americans.
The Punk Rock Black Lips was the next course in the main menu of Paredes de Coura. Torn was also affected with sound problems, with saxophone being completely muffled and the voice of Cole Alexander getting sometimes imperceptible, although this is not totally oblivious some “euphoria” of it. However, the public would be more euphoric, since again, the moshing, crowdsurfing and palms were a constant in concert. Helping the party, and something now customary in band concerts, a rain of paper rolls and inflated condoms coming of the toughest stage ignited, making acting a hit among the masses.
followed the Cut / Copy, the heads of the night poster, and who expected a good performance in the face of accolades from the trade press. But the truth is that the trio could never fully grasp the audience, which responded only spaces to the most danceable themes of Australians, getting up by a shake of the head in the more rock / pop. And there was still time for some Cheatahs Vodafone.FM on stage to show us his indie rock eared, with everything in the right place to make the delights of tough. Good songs with a good dose of guitars and some distortion, animating the staff was certainly pleased with the performance of Londoners.
In what was perhaps less successful day so far, the very variety of styles poster, still lots of people and lots of partying along the river Taboao. Today, on the last day, we will see if the festival ends as usual in apotheosis. We hope so!
