Terminal of the Port of Leixões and the House Cape Village award-winning Building of the Year Archdaily – Observer

The Cruise Terminal of Port of Leixões and the House Cape Village are among the winning projects in the Building of the Year 2017, by platform international Archdaily, headquartered in New York, which announced this Tuesday the 16 winners.

according to the site 'online' of the international award, the projects, the Portuguese were the winners in the categories "Architecture-Public" (Cruise Terminal of Port of Leixões, by Luís Pedro Silva) and "Houses" (House, Cable Villa, designed by architecture studio Spaceworkers, in Bitarães, distrito do Porto). The winning projects in Portuguese are on the list of the 16 winners, to the side of the great architects of international prominence, such as Herzog & de Meuron, authors of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany. The House Cape Village, of the Spaceworkers, wins for the second time in this category, after, in 2015, also have been elected to the awards Building of the Year Archdaily.

In this year’s edition of the international award, assigned by the public specialized in the area of architecture that visit the platform north-american, four projects the Portuguese were the finalists, selected from nearly 3,000 projects around the world.
