The Xutos & Pontapés released this Friday, through the social network Facebook, a new song, titled "Aleppo", whose lyrics was composed with sentences of girl syria Bana Alabed, who described it in the Twitter the siege of that city.
The letter was composed with the phrases of the Twitter that the Bana Alabed was there putting. Comes built-in on a theme that we were looking to develop, with a chorus that invaded me in the ears like a scream", you can read a message signed by the lead singer of the band, Tim.
In the chorus of the theme, with credits shared between Bana Alabed, Tim and the band, the singer’s voice calls the name of the city, before verses such as "tell me thou if you are able to/how one sings for peace?".
About Bana Alabed, Xutos recall a text of the Journal News, dated December 19, which reads that "even very small, Bana came out of the woodwork when, with the help of the mother and in English, and began to publish on the internet the effects of war and the destruction in the area in which he lived in Aleppo, which is strongly marked by the bombing and the scarcity of essential goods".
the Twitter account of The girl in syria, which in December abandoned in safety to the city of Aleppo and arrived to meet with the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has more than 362 thousand followers and, in it, Bana Alabed describes himself as an "evangelist for the peace of seven years."
I want to live/I don’t want to die/In Aleppo, Aleppo/When does it end the killing?", you hear in the song that the Caller offer "as a gift of 38 years."
The Xutos & Pontapés are working on new material since march of last year, added Tim, who has emphasised that the band have chosen to "continue the work of the 'Pure' [the last disc, released in 2014], with the same production, with similar environments, that are conducive to deepen the creativity of each other".
"Without having to invent the wheel maybe if you come to call the 'Hard', this new CD", you can read the message left on Facebook.
