Jessica Athayde questions on your blog, the way the woman’s body continues to be censored in the public sphere.
The actress launched the debate on your blog. “In the twenty-first century, a network as large as Facebook or Instagram, we would not be able to do what we want? We do not have the right to expose our body, so if we want to be? Why is the nipple the woman is a threat and the man does not? And when we talk about photo-art, where you draw the limits?”.
The questions then arise of Jessica Athayde reflect on the “sharing of intimacy”, which claims to be a decision of each person. Even when it comes to social networks, which “does not allow women to expose their body the way they want”, frieze, recalling the images (of women) that are blocked in the case of nudity.
“social networks are the reality of our present, where we see first-hand the results of the elections, we followed the news up to the minute, the goals for those who do not have access to cable channels and even the gossip that everybody A-DO-RA! This is where we share our life and where there are those who continue stupidly to judge,” writes the artist, 31-year-old. “Necklines giants, tails to the shows, okay… But see nipples, already passes the limits. Someone explain to me this? And the photos and violent videos that I’m always catching up on the News Feed? These already no problem?”, argues.
The actress also recalls the “thousand insecurities” that had “in the past” with your body – Athayde confessed to having suffered from anorexia – and the “path” that you made up to “feel comfortable”, “good, better, balanced, healthy and as happy as possible”. And says he thinks “the body of the woman more than the man’s, sorry) beautiful! Beautiful!”. “Of all the shapes, colors and sizes, the imperfection for me becomes perfect and captivating, and it is as if it were, say, Art,” he stresses.
