Lisbon, 13 jan 2016 (Ecclesia) – The ” Xutos & Pontapés' published today a song dedicated to the drama of the war in Syria and, in particular, to the situation in the city of Aleppo, one of the regions most martyred by the conflict.
The music, which has precisely as the name 'Aleppo', is to be displayed in video on youtube with statements by the leader of the Portuguese band of rock, Tim, who highlights a project that "has invaded like a cry".
The theme was inspired by phrases that a girl syria, Bana Al-Abed, was putting on the social network 'twitter', about the climate of violence, fear and fear that is playing Aleppo and its inhabitants in the aftermath of the war that has gripped Syria for about six years.
To be rescued from the city in December 2016 along with thousands of people in despair, Bana was published phrases, photographs and videos about the difficult context in which they live the civilian populations in the region and calling for peace and the end of the fighting.
"Aleppo, Aleppo, every minute seems to the death, I want to live, do not want to die!", or "Aleppo, Aleppo, decapitaram up hope" are some of the phrases that make up the theme.
it should be noted that this new work of 'Xutos e Pontapés' is published on the day that the Portuguese band marks 38 years of existence.
according To Tim, the group is developing a new cd, but "as and by way of gift" has decided to reveal the theme of 'Aleppo', to warn about a drama very real and that persists in today’s society.
next Sunday, from 13: 30 on RTP2, the Program 70×7 will be dedicated to the World Day of migrants and Refugees, with the testimonies of the families of refugees who have lived for years, the drama of the war in Syria.
