Oporto with the architecture of open doors – publico

             The 1st Open House Porto, 4 and 5 July, 42 open spaces of Porto, Gaia and Matosinhos the free visits.
 
           

The Tea House of the Good News to the pool of Tides or the lighthouse at Leca, the Matosinhos refinery to lift Gaia and monastery of Serra do Pilar, the Burgo Tower to Tower JN, theaters Rivoli and St. John or the center of Blood and Transplant. Are some of the 42 spaces that make up the script 1 Open House Porto, an international initiative that has already been held in Lisbon. On the route, are also included private homes or industrial spaces

On 4 and 5, the invitation is to enter these locations -. Representing, according to the organization, “the richness and diversity” of architectural Atlantic front of Porto – and to know them better and some, with the possibility of guided tours.

“What distinguishes this event and making it a special experience is the opportunity to visit the spaces in different ways: free visit, accompanied by assistants or through commented visits by authors and experts of different areas” considers Pedro Bandeira, commissioner of the initiative, co-production House of Architecture and Architecture Triennale of Lisbon – and is also the first cultural event that brings together the association of the Atlantic Front, a strategic partnership with the municipalities of Porto Gaia and Matosinhos.
