Michael Stipe was released solo singing David Bowie – Digital Journal

Michael Stipe was Jimmy Fallon program make his debut solo but to sing David Bowie.

On the eve of tribute concerts to Bowie in New York, the lead singer of R.E.M. recovered “The Man Who Sold The World”. The song had already given rise to a version of Nirvana included in the final “MTV Unplugged” of the band.
