The Crystal Palace gardens back to receive the Book Fair of Porto, this year with Agustina Bessa Luís as patron and under the theme of Happiness. Tomorrow, starting at 17 hours, a tribute to the writer will have a symbolic character with the award of a linden tree and the placement of a plaque with a quote from his Dictionary Imperfect, 2008: “Love is invisible on the usual”.
Already tonight, happens, at 22 pm in the auditorium of the Library Almeida Garrett, the first show of the festival “spoken words” with Jack, a Portuguese rapper who describes himself as a “Trotskyist warmongering”. It is in the Library, moreover, that are inaugurated today at 18 hours, three exhibitions: “(CON) TEXT TO Art, the Word and the Book”; “CORAL – a book, a cover” and “Agustina Bessa-Luís: life and work.”
The Fair has 130 pavilions, 49 and 19 booksellers edioras present with own space. The orgnaização announces better night lighting and some new spaces, with 25 pavilions open where you can circulate inside.
As part of the discussions, highlighted on Sunday for “The writings of the arts”, the 16 hours, with André E. Theodosius and Sérgio Godinho, moderated by Bernardo Pinto de Almeida.
