The disk should have at least one song that is old known to fans
The Radiohead in the studio working on a new album – and recently, guitarist Jonny Greenwood gave an interview about the site Consequence Of Sound. The musician commented that took some time for the band to get together and recreate the creative atmosphere that existed between them, since the members passed a long time without producing together; and he told us that he and singer Thom Yorke have done some songs together. “This afternoon, Thom and I are working on a song that started yesterday,” he said in the interview day. “We’ll see where this is going.” But the group is in no hurry to launch the new album. “We are working with intervals, alternating,” said Greenwood. “. We work together not long ago, and the beginning of a new process always takes some time”
The guitarist also revealed that at least one of the new working groups is already known to the public: it is Lift , a composition of 1996 never appeared in an official release of the group (listen below). “What people do not know is that there are very old songs on each disc, type Nude , the In Rainbows ” he said. “We have never found the perfect arrangements for her so far. Lift is the same. When the idea is right, it sometime appears as right. No matter which way. “Still no confirmed title or release date, the album will be the ninth in Radiohead’s career, and the successor of The King Of Limbs , which came out in 2011.
Recently, by the way, OK Computer , the band’s third album, released in 1997 – and considered by many the masterpiece of the British – was selected for induction to the Library of Recording Registry, Congress National American. The work attracted votes mainly because of the anti-consumisma theme, with songs dealing with social alienation, isolation and distress. In the same breath, they selected the debut album from The Doors, self-titled, and Stand! , Sly and Family Stone.
