Lisbon hears Beethoven in the Square Trade. At the Port, Joclécio Azevedo displays the instruction manual of project Failures.
Beethoven in the square
The Commerce Square, in Lisbon, receives a cycle of four consecutive concerts of the Metropolitan Orchestra of Lisbon, in which the grouping is the integral interpretation of the symphonies of the German composer Ludwig van Beethoven. The first meeting is scheduled for today, and proposes the listening of Symphonies 1, 2 and 3. Between Thursday and Saturday are the remaining six works, at the rate of two per night. The musical direction is led by Pedro Amaral. The concerts, always at 21: 30, are free admission.

For several months built progressively the pieces of a show that has been growing intermittently, as was displayed on multiple spaces of the Rivoli Theatre. The project is of the dancer and coreografo Joclécio Azevedo, who organized a series of short artist residencies that took the time as a point of departure, and which were followed by several presentations. The process was completed in February, with the debut of the show. In front of the stage was the work behind the scenes that nobody sees and a “maze of proposed occupancy of the theatre”. This was what the show was in February. Today, at 19h, at the cafe – concert at the Rivoli, Joclécio Azevedo presents the publication that brings together all the documentation produced to the back of the project Bursts, a co-production of the Teatro Municipal of Porto, with the association Circular. Is the instruction manual of a show almost puzzle, almost a labyrinth, called “bursts”.
