The announcement was made by Rui Moreira this afternoon at the official inauguration of the exhibition of the paintings of the Spanish painter in the Serralves Foundation, the works are on permanent display in the Foundation.

Curated by Robert Lofthouse Messeri, with the project of Álvaro Siza Vieira, the exhibition Joan Miró: the Materiality and Metamorphosis brings together almost all of the works of the collection of Miró in the possession of the State from the low birth weight and runs along the ground floor and the first floor of the House of Serralves until January 28.
The architect Siza Vieira should now work with the space of the Casa de Serralves to receive the permanent exhibition with all the works (the exhibition now opened does not include all the frames), said Rui Moreira.
The show covers a period of six decades of the artist’s career with the Catalan – 1924 to 1981 – and focuses in particular on the transformation of the languages of painting that the artist Catalan worked, addressing also its metamorphoses art in the fields of painting, drawing, collage, and works in tapestry.
On the set of the show – with the design architecture of Álvaro Siza Vieira, are included six paintings on masonite, 1936, and also six sobreteixims (wall hangings) of 1973.
