1 | ‘the connection’
Since, in 2014, the Porto City Council took the reins of the organization that the Crystal Palace gardens have been the venue of the Book Fair city. In this edition, entitled Link , there will be 131 pavilions scattered around the Avenue of Lindens and occupied by 69 publishing houses, 26 bookshops, 16 bookshops, 12 institutions and eight distributors. Among the newcomers are the Lello bookshop, the Chiado Editora, the Order of Architects, the newspaper Público and the Spanish publisher Bubok

2. | Tribute to Mario Claudio
After Agustina Bessa- -Luis and Vasco Graça Moura, will be awarded the writer’s name Mario Claudio to one of the trees of the Avenue of Lindens. Saturday, 3 Canotilho Gomes and Maria do Carmo Serém will talk about his life and work. The 18 will take place the premiere of The Days of Mario Claudio – Toccata and Fugue , Jorge Campos, director who accompanied the author during four years

3. | Conversations on the loose
open discussions on Saturday 3, will be the minister of Culture, Luís Filipe Castro Mendes, in the session entitled All Biography is a Romance . During the fair, also will talk about the relationship between art, image and literature (Gonçalo M. Tavares and Alvaro Domingues) on the writers to the table (Maria de Lourdes Modesto, José Viale Moutinho, and Francisco José Viegas) on chronic (Nuno Costa Santos and João Pereira Coutinho) or on the books that are burning inside (conversation between Valerius Romao and Afonso Cruz)

4. | On the screen
A cycle reveal how some movies made the bridge between cinema and other forms of artistic expression. Since then, with the literature (in the case of Jules and Jim , Truffaut, The Astragalus , Brigitte Sy or My Greatest Sin by Douglas Sirk), with the theater ( We know there of Rivette, the Alley , Polanski or the Fool , Joseph Alvaro de Morais) or artistic creation in general ( Hotel Chelsea , the portrait by Abel Ferrara). The films will be presented by Daniel Jonas, Nuno Carinhas, Ana Luísa Amaral and Rui Cardoso Martins, among others

5. | ‘Spoken Word’
auditorium of the Municipal Library Almeida Garrett welcome, on Friday and Saturday, a festival spoken word . Allen Halloween rapper, the duo The What, the project Poetry & amp; Jazz, dance spoken dedicated to Valter Hugo Mother and concert 20 Years in a Plane , with António Olaio and João Taborda, follow these nights liberation of words.

6 | Exhibition
Two exhibitions will be inaugurated at the City of Porto Gallery: 100 Treasures Public Library Port , stating the unforgettable works stored in this library; and Reunion with Vergílio Ferreira – Testimonials and perspectives in Centennial Writer , opening the doors of the literary workshop of the author of Submerged Morning

7. | Animate malta
The fair also includes jazz concerts at sunset, new circus shows, music and dance performances and celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the Crystal Palace gardens, with guided tours and captive flights in hot air balloon. For the youngest, there will be sessions of short stories, workshops, shows, games and Porto Belo Mini Market
