Heir wedding Inditex comes to an end – Observer

Marta Ortega, Inditex heir to the empire, separated by Sergio Alvarez whom he married on 18 February 2012, in a ceremony held in La Coruña after an engagement of three years. The news is advanced by El País, that confirmed from sources of the company that is owned by Amancio Ortega. The couple has a son who was born on March 5, 2013.

Already last October circulated news that the marriage could be facing a crisis, and even to believe that Sergio Alvarez had left the family home. It is now known, says the newspaper, the couple had problems for several months, which was trying to correct. The results were not the best and the two ended up starring in a “friendly” separation.

At 30, Marta Ortega will succeed his father, Amancio Ortega, whose fortune is estimated at over 60 billion dollars (EUR 50 billion), according to Forbes. Inditex is one of the largest fashion retailers in the world. The group are part of eight brands, including well-known Zara, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius and Berska, spread over more than 6,400 stores located in various corners of the globe.

It is precisely the father, who has more two children from a first marriage, which has nurtured the formation of Marta – since 2006 there is no doubt that it is she who will take over the management in the immense capital of Inditex. The daughter of Ortega came to work in various business positions, including stores in Shanghai, China, France, Italy and England, in order to improve their knowledge.
