The brazilian musician seu Jorge returns this year to Portugal, and one of the concerts will be in July at the festival Super Bock Super Rock (SBSR), in Lisbon, where he will pay tribute to David Bowie, has announced the organization. The musician will act on the 15th of July, the third and last day of the festival, in the Park of the Nations, and the show will focus on the Portuguese versions of songs from David Bowie, who recorded in 2005 for the movie "A fish out of water", of Wes Anderson. In addition to the concert in Lisbon, seu Jorge has already marked presence in other dates in Portugal, namely in August at the Monte Verde Festival, on the island of São Miguel, and in the São Mateus Fair in Viseu.
Between the songs of David Bowie that seu Jorge re-creates, to just voice and acoustic guitar, are "Life on Mars", "Rebel, Rebel", "Changes" and "Stardust."
seu Jorge (Jorge Mário da Silva), 46 years old, was born in a poor neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, a condition that did not prevent him from following the dream of representation, where it started, and the music. In 2002 came the film "City of God", Fernando Meirelles, a time that had already edited a solo album and participated in various music projects, in a mix of rock, funk, reggae and samba, the genre of choice. In the movie "A fish out of water", of Wes Anderson, the participation almost confined to reinvent the themes of David Bowie in Portuguese. The first solo album, "Samba Esporte Fino", came out in 2001. Three years later came up with "Raw" and in 2007 "America Brazil". Followed "seu Jorge & Almaz" (2010) and two volumes of "Music for bbq" (2011 and 2015).
The festival SBSR will take place in multiple stages in the Park of Nations and the account on the poster with names such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Deftones, Kevin Morby, Boogarins and Capitão Fausto.
