John Hurt part after 60 years of career – the guardian

Recognized by the interpretations of 'Alien – 8.º Passenger', 'The Midnight Express', 'The Elephant Man' or 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone', the british actor John Hurt died, after years of struggle against a cancer in the pancreas, at the end of almost 60 years of career, during which he shone in the cinema, on tv and in the theatre.

Born January 22, 1940, in the mining village of Shirebrook, in Derbyshire, England, John Hurt died in last Wednesday, just three days after you have completed the 77-year-old, but only yesterday the death was announced.

the Son of a vicar and an engineer, Hurt studied representation and made his debut in the theater, it became known from the british in television series (see box), but it was the film that gained fame.

'A Man for Eternity', from 1966, was the film that catapulted him to success and earned him a rol of film, having known to conquer the new generation, with its investments in the sagas popular.

In 2015, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, but even this did stop working at that which was his passion. Can currently be seen in movie theaters with 'Jackie' and this year still has four more movies expected to debut, including 'That Good Night', which tells the story of a terminally ill.

Success in television series
'Z Cars' was the series that in 1962 he gave him to know John Hurt to the public. The actor joined his presence on TV, including as the narrator of documentaries, with more than 200 films that rode. In 2013 entered a series of the most successful in the Uk, 'Doctor Who'. The last series that he participated in was 'The Last Panthers' in 2015. Ordained a knight by queen Elizabeth II, was nominated for an Oscar and won a Golden Globe and 2 BAFTA.
