The reopening of the Capitol, this Friday at the Vodafone Mexefest – the guardian

Sounds and bands to suit all tastes and novelties that pass through new spaces and other arts, for in addition to the music, in the edition 2016 at the festival Vodafone Mexefest.

To add to the extensive Portuguese armada, the highlight for the Sky and Elza Soares, two brazilian recently winning Latin Grammy awards and other names british, americans and even australians, as a Gallant, Not, Jagwar Ma, Whitney or track for track digable Planets.

The Vodafone Mexefest will occupy rooms already popular as the Coliseu dos Recreios, the “Cinema São Jorge”, the Palácio Foz, the Station (Vodafone), CP, ca, the Garage EPAL, the Society of Geography of Lisbon and the Casa do Alentejo, but this year adds the attic of the Teatro Tivoli BBVA and the Capitol building, which will reopen precisely at the time of the festival and will add three more stages to Vodafone Mexefest.

In the poster, apart from the names more indie/alternative, edition 2016 includes others such as the cape verdean Mayra Andrade or the veteran brazilian Elza Soares.

But there is more news. In this edition the premiere Vodafone Cuckoo – performances in the balcony of the Coliseum, with Moullinex and the Chick on the first day and Capitão Fausto in the second.

Voices writing with Carlão, Of Chick, Mike el Nite, and Fuse to make poetry, lyrics of songs, chronicles, and other texts from a variety of authors to celebrate the word in Mexefest. Festival that still maintains the Vodafone Bus to go up and down the Avenue with the Fugly, on the 25th day, and the 800-Gondomar on the 26th.
