the
Whitney one of the bands of the moment, the trio of female KING and the talented Joana Barra Vaz are the latest confirmations in the festival of lisbon.
Makers of classic rock, the Whitney are passionate about using the analog format. The debut album, "Light Upon the Lake", has a spice on the retro, but that does not despise the inclusion of elements of pop more current. The recording of "Light Upon the Lake" counted with the collaboration of the leader of Foxygen, Jonathan Rado. The Whitney, born in Chicago, come to Vodafone Mexefest in a record unheard of, to submit your themes in a manner more raw and naked, in a resonate acoustic.
The north american KING are a trio of female formed by Paris, Amber Strother and Anita Bias. Produce your themes and have the ability to create a unique sound and innovative, reinventing the R&B and soul with a pop dreamlike and levitante. Debuted on format LP in 2016 with "We Are King", a disk that fell into the graces of publications such as Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, NPR, Billboard, The New York Times, SPIN and The FADER. Also have won the recognition of artists as famous as Erykah Badu, Solange, Nile Rodgers, Sam Sparro, Janelle Monáe, or Questlove.
The Portuguese Joana Barra Vaz presented this year to "Dive in she-Wolf", the first feature-length in its own name and the continuation of the trilogy "f l u m e" started with the EP "Trip By Rail", 2012. Electronic and folk in doses spotless, and in perfect harmony.
We remind you that for health reasons Charles Bradley had to cancel the next dates of the tour of "Changes", which includes the concert at the Vodafone Mexefest.
