The Swedish Academy still “not able to talk” with the american composer Bob Dylan, honored on Thursday with the Nobel Prize of Literature, in the day that acted in concert in the United States.

“The Academy spoke with the agent of Dylan and with the person responsible for the tour,” he told the France Presse Odd Zschiedrich, the chancellor of the Swedish Academy, which also “could not” speak with the award-winning.

Bob Dylan starred in a concert, on Thursday evening, in Las Vegas in which, according to verified cases of journalists present, he sang, but not addressed to the public, nor made, in any way, any mention of the Nobel Prize for Literature.

The newspaper Washington Post – citing friends and sources close to the singer -, “Dylan has remained, throughout the day, silent on the prize.”

Bob Neuwirth, friend of Bob Dylan, told the american newspaper that the composer “can never do any kind of thank you”.

Every year, the winners of the Nobel prize are invited to receive the award on December 10 in Stockholm, by the hands of the king of Sweden.

according to France Presse, the Swedish Academy is unknown even if Bob Dylan wants to be present.

In 1964, the philosopher and French writer Jean-Paul Sartre refused the Nobel Prize for Literature in the same day that he was informed of the decision, not having received the 273 thousand Swedish crowns, the prize amount at the time.
