Bill Cosby, a major television icons of the 1980s and one of the most popular figures in contemporary black America, will be charged with sexual abuse. The prosecution, as delivered by the state of Pennsylvania, relates to a case dating back to 2004, but may be only the first of a series of charges: 15 women claim to have been drugged and raped by the actor in dating cases from the 1970s onwards and that they are being investigated since last year.
In 2005, Andrea Constand, an official of Temple University, had already processed the entertainer for breach, but eventually agree extrajudicial for a sum never revealed. This process was closed by the summer of 2014. It was reopened when a number of other women started to report their own cases in American media.
