Alexandre Farto, known in the art world as Vhils, created a video for U2, which is now available on YouTube. In the coming hours, you can view the work of the Portuguese.
It’s a work of the band Bono, who joined the most reputed ‘street artists’, including the Portuguese Vhils invited to design a video inspired by the album of U2, ‘Songs of Innocence’, recently released.
The work, multidisciplinary and political murals in Northern Ireland as a reference, has Vhils, one of the most celebrated artists of the genre today.
The film, now available for pre-order on iTunes, joins a group of artists who have had total creative freedom to respond artistically to the music of U2 through animated part in films, partly with real images.
The works of 11 artists play with time, animated backdrops and lively reality, taking street art to the screen and adding unique views in a global work and teamwork.
Each of them was given one of the songs the new album. Vhils fitted the theme ‘Iris (Hold Me Close)’.
In addition to Vhils integrate ‘Films of Innocence’ artists Oliver Jeffers, Robin Rhode, D * Face, Mode 2, Chloe Early, Ganzeer, Maser , Roa, DALeast and Todd James.The new album from U2, ‘Songs of Innocente’ was officially released last October 13 and had direct input to the first place of the sales table in Portugal and remained there during three consecutive weeks.
‘Songs Of Innocence’ is the most personal work of U2 to date, showing the reasons that led the band to join.
The family, relations and the discovery are some of the topics covered in this album, which was recorded in Dublin, London, New York and Los Angeles and was produced by Danger Mouse, Paul Epworth, Ryan Tedder, Declan Gaffney and Flood.
