February 1965, this decision will change the name of the Lisbon Airport
Airport for Humberto Delgado, with effect from May 15, 2016 ”
adds the note.
With change, it “recognized the unique role of the General
Humberto Delgado not only in the fight for freedom and democracy during the
New state, but also in the creation of modern commercial aviation in Portugal. “
