Four days of musical siege of the village of 800 inhabitants – Daily News – Lisbon

After an intense month of work, the time is to rest on the terraces, give a chat, drink “the good red wine” and expect the first musical chords. The eyes do not stop to appreciate who goes, and so arise simply the boldest phrases:. “Now it is that I get the views washed”

In the village of Hundred wages, a few six kilometers of Tomar, the 800 inhabitants live these days in turmoil. The Good Sons Festival – which from this year and annually thereafter – fills the streets, where they cross generations in a harmony that looks absolutely perfect. Older (some walk with canes help) smile before the passage of the newest, some colored hair and dreadlocks, simple clothing or fancier, with hats for the sun, equipped with plastic or metal coffee cup.

Maria Lopes of Heaven, 83, returns home on slow pace aided by a cane. “This is very beautiful, a lot of people and I like it a lot,” he says immediately, ensuring that “does not care about the noise that animates the village” , which in these days “is widely spoken” .
