When visiting Wikipedia, remember to Sverker Johansson. This 54 year old Swede is the author of the largest number of articles in the encyclopedia: 2.7 million texts created, which represents about nine percent of the total. But Johansson uses a process that makes it work …
Sverker Johansson, a Swedish 53, has academic training in linguistics, engineering, physics and economics. Economy that helps to count the total number of articles that you’ve created for Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that allows any author to create texts (subject to a review to ensure the authenticity of the facts).
This man has published over 2.7 million texts, which is a record in Wikipedia. That number is still about nine per cent of the texts that have the free encyclopedia available.
There is no other creator of texts for Wikipedia that shows a similar number, so the record Sverker Johansson looks ‘unbreakable’.
According to the Wall Street Journal, one in three articles Sverker is written in your language, and this author also creates texts in Filipino dialects.
The themes are consistent with their education, but also address the topic of some animal species as well (and here Sverker Johansson can address the area of civil engineering) descriptions of cities in the Philippines.
A curiosity is that Sverker Johansson is not a talent of writing. And is not presented as passionate about art. However, his general culture and enjoyment of research allow him to strengthen Wikipedia, a bottomless well of knowledge.
This created a Swedish software – called ‘Lsjbot’, which seeks to articles all over the Internet, allowing to gather information … an average of 10 000 articles per day – which uses as a tool for this pleasure that feeds : leave a legacy that all knowledge encyclopedia that collects
.
And in addition to the merit of creating 2.7 million texts highlights the ability of this software, which is assumed as a source of knowledge at the service of Wikipedia.
Sverker Johansson is aware of this fact but points out that only a minority does not like the outcome of the programs. Says, speaking to the Wall Street Journal, which develops this project on behalf of “online absolute democracy”, so that knowledge gets to everybody.
The use of that program does not violate the rules of the free encyclopedia, even though most users of Wikipedia are not big fans of this kind of automatic writing.
The Swede believes his program can be an indispensable tool to Wikipedia – if it has not already is -. Encyclopedia for free to reach its end
