In order to response to the error, the actors of the series got together and posed for a photograph, with water bottles (plastic) ma hand and using existing clothes.

The photograph was published in the official “Downton Abbey” on Instagram and besides being an ironic response to criticism that surfaced on the Internet, about the historical mistake of the promotion campaign, is also a form of solidarity, in partnership with WaterAid, an NGO fighting for access of disadvantaged populations around the world, drinking water.

“The cast and the technical team decided to turn his attention to another really important issue,” a spokesman of the series quoted by Deadline said.
