The singer Amy Winehouse, who died in 2011, will be honored with a statue in the market exposed near the house where he lived in London.
Designed by Scott Eaton, the statue of Amy Winehouse will have the actual size of the singer of “Rehab” and is made of bronze.
Initially the work would be placed on a balcony of the concert hall “Roundhouse”, but by being more accessible to fans, the perpetuation of Amy will be installed in the Stables Market, Camden, London, near the site where the singer lived.
“It is an honor to have the statue in the Stables,” said Mitch Winehouse, father of the artist, told the newspaper ‘The Guardian’. “Amy was part of Camden, and still is, so never think to put a statue of her elsewhere any.”
A high statue will be Sept. 14, when Amy celebrate 31 years.
The father of the artist ‘Back to Black’ said further that the London authorities not have habit of allowing statues of people who died less than 20 years, but made an exception for Amy.
