The studio Universal Pictures will make a new film about the co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, to be directed by Danny Boyle and starring Michael Fassbender, published on Wednesday the magazine “Hollywood Reporter”.
Universal Pictures decided to take on the project less than a week after Sony Pictures abandon plans to make a film about Jobs based on the biography of Walter Isaacson, launched in 2011.
The expectation is that Aaron Sorkin to write the screenplay for the film, which cost more than $ 30 million in copyright.
Sony had acquired the production rights, not explained the reasons for his change of plans.
David Fincher, who directed “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” (2008), left in April the idea of directing the project on the co-founder of Apple.
Steve Jobs died at 56 years at his home in Palo Alto in Silicon Valley, on October 5, 2011, due to complications of pancreatic cancer who faced several years ago.
His life has served as inspiration for a independent film released in 2013, “Jobs” starring Ashton Kutcher, that has not convinced critics.
