The Venice film festival opens today with the musical “La la Land”, Damien Chazelle.
Out of respect to the victims of the earthquake that struck Amatrice, the organization canceled the gala opening, keeping only the display of Damien Chazelle movie with Rian Gosling and Emma Stone in the lead roles.
It will be the debut of Damien Chazelle, 31, in competition in Venice.
the festival meets the 73rd edition and display until September 10, films like “the bad batch” of Ana Lily Amirpour, “Jackie” by Pablo Larraín, with Natalie Portman, “Voyage of Time: Life’s journey”, documentary Terrence Malick, and “Arrival” by Denis Villeneuve, all in competition.
