The next album of PJ Harvey is an artistic installation – Daily News – Lisbon

Instead of paying to go to a concert and see the artist perform live, PJ Harvey proposes to show the work that is done for a new album.

The installation is called Recording Process and PJ Harvey says he wants to operate as if the audience were in a gallery. “I hope that visitors can experience the flow and the energy of the recording process,” said the singer, author of the idea socks with Artangel, the platform that curates the installation with the Somerset House a cultural center in the center of the British capital.

Recording Process will be a box-shaped recording studio that allows you to see what goes on inside. The work that PJ Harvey sets out to do was described as “a sound mutant and multidimensional sculpture” .

Admission is 15 pounds (19 euros) for periods of 45 minutes and is already sold out, according to the website of Somerset House. Who bought ticket can see the various stages of the band’s work – ideas for songs to recordings.

The English artist edited the last album in 2011. Flood and John Parish, who worked on previous albums, are the producers.
